If youre a bit lost staring at these seemingly cryptic codes, weve broken down the tire size for you. Lets take the standard 245/70 R17 BSW tires and break this down piece by piece:

• 245: This number indicates the width of your Ford F-150 tiresmeasured in millimeters from sidewall to sidewall.

How Do You Measure The Backspace On A Ford F150

To measure the backspacing of your tires, you will need some tools and to follow a few steps .

The tools you will need are:

• A tape measure in order to measure the wheel space.
• A straight edge.
• A wheel without the tire.

Step #1: Lay wheel down

Lay the wheel down so that the backside of the wheel is facing you.

Step #2: Straight edge

Take the straight edge and lay it across the flange of the wheel diagonally.

Step #3: Measure

Use the tape measure to get the length from where the straight edge touches the flange to the hub mounting pad of the wheel. This measurement is your backspace measurement. Take a tape measure and measure the distance from where the straight edge contacts the inboard flange to the hub mounting pad of the wheel.

The safe bet here would be a minimum 6 lift kit or leveling kit. You want to go 10 wide and -24 offset. That equates to 35×12.5. Its quite an aggressive look and there definitely will be some trimming required to make them fit perfectly.

I just recently ordered a 2021 lariat sport 502A FX4 at my local dealer.Im already looking at ordering parts and having them ready for when it arrives. Im wanting to do a 2 level with ReadyLift and add some A/T tires 33-34s.What do yall think…Im looking at the Toyo Open Country AT3s, Ridge Grapplers, or KO2s. The sizes Im thinking are 295/60/20, 285/65/20, or 285/60/20. Im not wanting any rubbing or any trimming so Im not sure which size to go with. What do yall recommend? Im wanting to keep the ride quality as good as possible but adding that bad ass look at the same time.On a side note, has anyone noticed that the new runningboards sound very loud?
