Rejected balls joints outside of missouri highway patrol policy. Had to take vehicles to highway patrol whom found NO wear. Then Big O manager was forced to issue me a sticker. Service manager would not accept responsibility. My nephew paid for a state inspection and got a maintenance/safety ejection I think.

I always bring my truck up there for my oil changes. They are very courteous and quick. I don’t ever make an appointment and they always get me in and out!!!

The manager is awsome and so helpful! I would recommend the Camdenton store for tires and service!!!

Evidentiary Summary And Procedural History

At the outset of the evidentiary hearing before the ALJ, counsel for the parties confirmed “that the issues to be resolved … are the occurrence of an accident, and the causation of the injuries alleged.”

Claimant testified that he worked for Employer fixing tires, performing vehicle alignments and oil changes, and doing “eneral mechanic work ” Fixing tires sometimes required using an adhesive, and multiple techniques were used to dry the adhesive, including simply waiting or “light it on fire make it very sticky and tacky” When this was done, the glue can was “put back in a cabinet away from where” the applied glue was being dried. Claimant had seen a similar technique used at another tire shop, and he had used such a technique at Employer’s shop. He sometimes used his own lighter, and he sometimes used a lighter from Employer’s shop.

Another employee, Kyle Uchtmann, testified that mechanics were not supposed to use a lighter on tire glue, but he had seen it being used in that way at a tire shop. The manager of Employer’s shop, Benjamin Pruitt, had witnessed employees “using a lighter during the tire patching process” There was testimony from these employees and Claimant that other flammable tasks were sometimes performed in connection with the repairs made in the shop.

A reviewing court may modify, reverse, remand for rehearing, or set aside a workers’ compensation award upon a finding that: the commission acted without or in excess of its powers the award was procured by fraud the commission’s factual findings do not support the award or there was not sufficient competent evidence in the record to warrant the making of the award. “Whether the award is supported by competent and substantial evidence is judged by examining the evidence in the context of the whole record. An award that is contrary to the overwhelming weight of the evidence is, in context, not supported by competent and substantial evidence.”

Mfa Oil And Big O Tires End Joint Venture

Bore/MPC LLC, the joint venture between MFA Oil Co. and Big O Tires LLC, a subsidiary of TBC Corp., announced that MFA Oil has purchased Big O Tires interest in the partnership.

Under the agreement, MFA purchased Big Os portion of BORE/MPC LLC. All 14 existing locations in Missouri and Arkansas will continue to operate as Big O Tires locations under the ownership of MFA.

The existing franchise agreements enable MFA to continue operating the locations as Big O Tires franchises. In addition to established locations, future locations will also operate under the Big O Tires brand. Expansion plans have been identified with two more locations in Missouri and Arkansas scheduled to open later this year, and additional opportunities are also under consideration.

This is a good deal for MFA Oil Company, says Rusty Coats, director of retail tire operations. Not only was the cost of the buyout favorable, but the single company ownership will allow us to be quicker and more flexible in our business decisions.

Formed in 1998, Bore/MPC is a Big O Tires franchisee that owns and operates 14 Big O Tires stores in Camdenton, Columbia, Hollister, Jefferson City, Nixa, Osage Beach, Rolla, Springfield and St. Roberts, Mo., and in Bentonville and Springdale, Ark. Shocks And Struts 101

Whats the difference between shocks and struts?

  • Shocks are slightly stiffer than a strut and able to handle more weight. Thats why shocks are more commonly found on larger vehicles like trucks and SUVs.
  • Struts combine the springs and shocks into one unit, and unlike shocks, they are a structural part of the suspension system.

Every vehicle has a shock or strut on each wheel, and some vehicles use a combination of both, with struts on the front wheels and shocks on the back.

What are the symptoms of bad shocks and struts?

  • Uneven tread wear
  • Fluid leaking from your shocks or struts
  • Dents or damage on your shock or strut casings
  • Greater wear on front brakes than rear brakes
  • Broken or worn shock or strut mounts
  • Drifting, floating or swaying during turns
  • Excessive bouncing after hitting a bump or dipping forward when applying the brakes

How long do shocks and struts last?

The mileage you get out of your shocks and struts will depend on your driving style and road conditions, but the general recommendation is to replace your struts every 50,000100,000 miles.

Want to see where your shocks and struts or suspension system stands? Request an appointment online or visit your local Big O Tires store today!

Tie Rods

Tie rods are the part of your steering system that connect the rack and pinion to the steering knuckle. Working together, these parts move the wheel left or right when you steer.
