We have rubber running through our veins, Dave Mitchell said with a laugh during an interview in the new Best One Tire location in Bryan at 915 N. Main St., at the southwest corner of Ohio 15 and U.S. 127.
Under construction for the past six months, the new 18,250-square-foot building is set for a soft opening today, replacing the former 5,000-square-foot location on Buffalo Road.

The Mitchells said they purchased Easter Tires on June 1, 2009. In addition to the Bryan store, the Mitchells now have stores in Findlay, Van Wert and Celina, plus a retread manufacturing plant, warehouse and corporate office in Lima.
Best One is now the largest Bridgestone tire dealer in the U.S., Dave Mitchell said, with 300 stores in 20 states.
Dave Mitchell said the original plan was to locate the store across the street on five acres northeast of the intersection of North Main and East Foster streets. But he said the project faced delays from historical issues at the site so they fell back to the current location.
There was a building here that had to be demolished so it took a little extra work and time, but we felt it was worth it. We had the opportunity to purchase this lot and we couldnt be more blessed. This is a great location, Dave Mitchell said, noting that the Ohio 15 and U.S. 127 intersection is the second busiest in Bryan.
About 10,784 vehicles travel near or past Best One Tires location, including 3,210 at U.S. 127 and Ohio 15, and 7,530 on Ohio 15, every day. The Bryan intersection with the highest vehicle volume is U.S. 127 and County Road C, at 13,900 vehicles per day.
The Mitchells said Best One of Lima is an independent, family-owned business that employs about 100 with another location in Piqua currently under construction.
